It’s easy to find smartphone apps that objectify models—like this Kate Upton live wallpaper app (“Sexy unofficial live wallpaper with Kate Upton in a bikini staring you down while trying to distract you with her boobs”) or this one that’s literally just a collection of HD photos from the 2013 Victoria's Secret (VSCO) Fashion Show.
So we were delighted this morning to discover that 29-year-old Victoria’s Secret model Lyndsey Scott has developed an app of her own. The model, who’s also an expert coder, evidently, created iPort, an app that lets users store their professional portfolios and look books on their phones.
It’s “[p]erfect for fashion models, architects and other artists who want to display their work and their style in a beautiful and convenient new way,” the App Store description reads.
In case you’ve never binge-watched America’s Next Top Model, look books are the books models use to store and present their past photo shoots—they’re like résumés, for really beautiful people.
And if you have known the magic of binge-watching America’s Next Top Model, you’ll know iPort would be perfect for any Top Model contestant who has ever lost her look book during each season’s inevitable run-around-town-and-go-to-castings challenge (so all of them).
“I built that app, because it was something I personally needed,” Ms. Scott told PandoDaily. “My book always ends up looking terrible—the books fall apart, the pages are tearing, it’s dirty, and it’s a mess.”
In other words, iPort is the most progressive thing to happen to the modeling world since the debut of Tyra Banks’ Smize Yourself! app.
