It’s a heavily Democratic District, especially since 2011 redistricting.

There are 147,975 registered Democrats in the 12th against 57,679 registered Republicans


State Sen. Linda Greenstein (D-14)

Middlesex has the most registered voters of any county portion of the 12th District (169,964); and the second most registered number of Democrats. There are 55,777 registered Democrats compared to 27,760 registered Republicans in the Middlesex section of the 12th.

Mercer has the highest number of registered Democrats when pitting the counties head to head in the 12th: 57,175 (compared to 17,749 Republicans). Trenton alone has 32,915 registered Democrats.
