State Sen. Linda Greenstein’s (D-14) congressional campaign has the support of the lawmaker’s district partners.
Assemblymen Wayne DeAngelo and Dan Benson issued a statement of support Friday officially endorsing Greenstein. Both assemblymen announced earlier this week they were endorsing Greenstein’s congressional bid.
“There is no tougher and more tested fighter in Trenton than Linda Greenstein, period,” DeAngelo said in the statement. “In every major battle over the past decade, Linda has not only been front-and-center, fighting on the side of working families, but she’s been a winner. We need her tenacity to fix a broken Washington and make it work again to rebuild our middle class.”
Benson issued similar remarks.
“Having stood alongside Linda Greenstein as her running mate and colleague, I know first-hand that she is a passionate and committed fighter for our working families and shared progressive values,” he said. “The ideals that Congressman Holt has championed are the ideals that Linda champions, from a higher minimum wage to access to affordable healthcare to protecting our seniors and children. Central Jersey needs her thoughtful, progressive voice in Washington to move our nation forward.”
