Each year, Pascrell invariably occupies the same place on the packed floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, close to the door where the President enters.

Pascrell caught Obama’s ear this time and told him, “Mr. President, New Jersey is in the house.”

Obama laughed and replied, “I know.”
