Trenton Mayoral candidate Walker Worthy, Jr. today formally endorsed Bonnie Watson Coleman for Congress in the 12th District, praising her commitment to public service.
“Before I worked for Bonnie in the General Assembly, she knew me when I worked for her father, Assemblywoman John Watson. In the legacy of her father, Bonnie has been and continues to be an advocate for the people of New Jersey,” Worthy said.
“Bonnie started the first Office for Civil Rights in New Jersey’s Department of Transportation and has worked in the assembly to successfully increase the minimum wage, increase affordable housing and improve our public schools. With an advocate, leader and visionary like Bonnie in Congress, the people of New Jersey will get their fair share of resources to fight the inequities that plague so many of our families. As chair of the state Democratic Party, Bonnie demonstrated exemplary leadership where she showed a commitment to inclusion and diversity.”
