Gov. Chris Christie’s former top Port Authority appointee who ultimately resigned from the post following the George Washington Bridge lane closure controversy is back to work.

Bill Baroni, the former deputy director of the Port Authority, took a position with Hill Wallack LLP, a prominent Democratic law firm in the Garden State.

Baroni, a former state senator, resigned from the Port Authority in December. He was the second top official to leave the agency following the release of the now infamous “time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee” correspondence that was unearthed from documents subpoenaed by a legislative investigative committee.

“Yes,” said Bob Bacso, managing partner of the firm’s Princeton office. “I am pleased to confirm that.”

Baroni is working for the firm’s Princeton office.
