Englewood attorney wants to take on Pascrell

Attorney Michael Oren Epstein of Englewood this week announced that he will seek the Republican nomination for New Jersey’s 9th Congressional District.

“After a good deal of discussion with my family and friends and support from so many people throughout our community, I am excited to announce my candidacy for Congress,” said the business lawyer specializing in intellectual property and technology.

Married with four children, Epstein wants to challenge incumbent U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-9).

“I am steadfast in my belief that our country needs new leadership and a return to common-sense principles,” Epstein ssaid. “I also firmly believe that intelligent people with differing views can work together to solve the significant issues that face our great country. It is time for Congress to right the ship. I am confident that, if given the opportunity, I can help accomplish that.”

Epstein is Counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, and advises large public companies and smaller businesses, while also providing legal advice on a pro bono basis to organizations of limited means.
