TRENTON – Four down and one to go.
But that one is unlikely to make the 4 p.m. deadline imposed by the state Division of Elections.
Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Robert Turkavage said he collected the required number of signatures – 1,000 – but at five minutes to four with a half an hour left to drive, Turkavage appeared resigned to falling out of contention.
“It is what it is,” said the former FBI agent, who was nonetheless proceeding to 225 West State Street to hand in his sigs.
After struggling through the convention season, Turkavage won his first line last week in Hunterdon County.
As expected, Turkavage didn’t make it, reported FIRST by PolitickerNJ.
