The Ocean County GOP Screening Committee submitted the name of businessman Brian Goldberg to the committee as a whole as its recommendation for U.S. Senate.
The screening committee heard from the U.S. Senate candidates in an ante-chamber prior to the start of the Republican Party convention and Goldberg prevailed.
Goldberg later won the line.
