Federal prosecutors are taking a closer look at the Port Authority’s chairman and a close ally of Gov. Chris Christie, according to published reports.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting Manhattan federal prosecutors subpoenaed records related to David Samson, whose law firm – Wolff & Samson – is one of the most prominent in the Garden State.
Prosecutors are specifically interested in any conflicts between Samson’s private business interests and his actions as chairman of the bi-state agency, according to the report.
