Last year’s Democratic candidate for governor issued an auto call yesterday for the 12th District Congressional campaign of Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-15), Ewing.
“Hi, this is Barbara Buono,” the former 18th District state senator says in the call. “When I ran for Governor in 2013, I had a close group of friends that stood up with me against Chris Christie when many wouldn’t. Through thick and thin, one of my closest allies and fiercest advocates in that fight was my friend, Bonnie Watson Coleman.
“Bonnie Watson Coleman is a strong principled democrat who won’t back down from the Tea Party in Washington, and will stand with President Obama and Democrats in Congress to protect Social Security and Medicare, fight for pay equity, and work to protect our communities from gun violence.
“I hope you will join me in supporting Bonnie Watson Coleman in the June 3rdprimary. Thank you for your time.”
Watson Coleman is running in the Democratic Primary against state Sen. Linda Greenstein (D-14), Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula (D-17) and plasma physicist Andrew Zwicker.
Dr. Alieta Eck is pursuing the Republican nomination in CD12.
