Another member of Gov. Chris Christie’s communications left the governor’s office to take up employment outside of the Garden State.
Kara Walker, who spent three years in Christie’s press shop, is reportedly working as a communications director for Oregon’s House Republican office, according to the Statesman Journal.
News of her departure comes shortly after Christie spokesman Colin Reed left to run former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown’s New Hampshire Senate campaign.
Reed worked for Brown in the Senate and on his failed Senate re-election bid before joining Christie’s staff as deputy communications director in March 2013.
Reed was among Christie staff members to be subpoenaed by the state’s joint legislative committee in the ongoing George Washington Bridge lane closure controversy investigation.
Walker was not subpoenaed.
