Former JC Council candidate admits she used campaign funds for personal use

Former Jersey City Council candidate Lavern Webb-Washington today admitted illegally using contributions to her political campaign for her personal use, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.  

Webb-Washington, 65, of Jersey City, N.J., pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Jose L. Linares to a superseding information charging her with converting to her own use and the use of another up to $1,000 in money of the United States to which she was not entitled.
