Christie announces Statehouse news conference

TRENTON – Gov. Chris Christie is expected to unveil his plan to plug a $800 million shortfall in the state’s budget during an afternoon Statehouse news conference Tuesday.

The governor’s office announced a 2 p.m. news conference to provide a “budget update.” The governor said last week he would provide details on how to plug the budget gap sometime this week.

The news conference will be livestreamed.
