Founder of the local news blog Gothamist and a Park Slope native, Mr. Dobkin has built one of the most productive local news teams in the city, curating photos, videos and breaking news teams from a huge network of tipsters. He’s also exported his model nationwide; Gothamist currently boasts eight franchisees in various cities (LAist, DCist, etc.). Hyper-local news sites come and go, but Gothamist has been at it for over a decade, with other city dailies nipping at its heels.
