The 1 train will never be the same again.
Mariah Carey — decked in a shimmering blue gown and oversized sunglasses (naturally) — rode the subway early this morning and took to social media to document the ride in all it’s glamour.
The diva, who was leaving last night’s Fresh Air Fund Spring Gala at Chelsea Piers, posted two photos of her journey to Instagram, captioning one “Glimpses of our joyride on the 1 train #subwayincouture.”
Were those sunglasses rose tinted? It’s not often you hear the subway described as a “joyride.”
She also posted a video to Vine of her descending the subway steps like Rose in Titanic.
