Bell to challenge Booker

GOP U.S. Senate hopeful Jeff Bell defeated fellow Republicans to challenge incumbent U.S. Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) in the upcoming election, according to unofficial results.

Bell garnered nearly 30 percent of the vote with 99.3 precincts reporting Tuesday evening, according to the Associate Press. He received 41,580 votes.

Rich Pezzullo received 37,003 votes for 26.2 percent of the vote, Brian Goldberg garnered 35,343 votes for 25 percent of the vote and Murray Sabrin received 27,342 votes for less than 20 percent.
