Jacobson folds probation association into pension payment suit

Assignment Judge Mary C. Jacobsen of Mercer County today added the Probation Association of New Jersey to the list of mostly labor plaintiffs suing Gov. Chris Christie, the state treasurer and legislature in the pension payment case.

The group – which includes the Communications Workers of America, the American Federation of Labor, county and municipal employees, firefighters and cops – wants the court to prevent Christie from being able to use public pension funds to plug a state budget gap.

Jacobson will render judgment in the civil case on June 25.
