The Michener Art Museum, of Doylestown, Pa., announced that it has hired Kirsten Jensen to be its new senior curator of exhibitions. Ms. Jensen had been serving as director of the John F. Folinsbee Catalogue Raisonné. She starts at the museum Aug. 15.
Ms. Jensen earned her Ph.D. with distinction at the CUNY Graduate Center, and has previously worked at the Frick, the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers and the Andrew Mellon Foundation.
“As a curator, scholar and museum professional, I am firmly dedicated to exploring new and creative methods to make American Art from all historical periods exciting and relevant to contemporary audiences,” she said in a statement released to press.
