Town & Country editor in chief Jay Fielden announced two new hires today: Pilar Viladas was named architecture and design editor and Klara Glowczewska will be the travel editor at large at Hearst’s luxury title.
“It gives me great pleasure to welcome Pilar and Klara to our editorial team,” Mr. Fielden said in a statement. “Each of these women brings her own unique perspective, deep expertise and distinctive aesthetic to our pages. I look forward to collaborating with them in our upcoming issues.”
Ms. Viladas, who was the design editor at New York Times luxury magazine T until November, will write a monthly column and contribute feature stories.
Ms. Glowczewska will write travel stories and work on reviving Town & Country Travel, which is scheduled for a fall relaunch. She spent nearly a decade as editor in chief of Condé Nast Traveler until last August, when she was replaced by former Martha Stewart Living editor Pilar Guzmán in a big masthead shake-up at Condé’s travel mag.
