Whoa daddy, stop the presses. The news just came in that the EXCLUSIVE WORLD PREMIERE of the band OK Go’s new music video will take place at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. It will be on view June 16 “for one day only, before it is released on YouTube.”
I’m sure there’s something to say here about the state of the art world or the music industry that boils down to some caustic conclusion along the lines of “we’ve reached the end times and civilization is not long for this world” but instead I’ll just caution you to take care of yourself until June 16: chew slowly and don’t choke on your food; drive within the speed limit; avoid operating heavy machinery but if you must, follow all safety protocols; if you have to go out at night, do so on the buddy system and do NOT venture down dark alleys alone; if you’ll be flying into town for this one-time-only historic event, fly via private plane and carefully vet your pilot and co-pilot beforehand; hard drugs are out of the question; stay away from sharp objects and firearms.
In other words, dearest reader, it is of the utmost importance that you continue living and do so with great care until June 16. You’re not going to want to miss OK Go’s music video premiere at L.A. MOCA.
