Police seized the first stun gun after receiving a complaint that someone was trying to sell a conducted energy device online.

They seized the second stun gun less than 24 hours later, after people called in to complain that a woman was causing a disturbance outside a local bar.

Ms. James is currently being held in police custody. She’ll make her first appearance in provincial court on July 2.

As you can see in these photos provided to CTV news, a stun gun iPhone and a regular iPhone look frighteningly similar, but for some small differences on their bottom edges. It doesn’t seem like something you’d be able to spot if a stranger whipped out their iPhone in the middle of a crowded bar. Jeez, this level of concealed weaponry makes the Yellow Jacket — that iPhone case with a built-in taser — seem like a breeze.

Still, we suppose we’d take an iPhone stun gun in any form over an 80,000-volt taser drone any day.

Anyway, don’t get any stun gun-related ideas, NYC readers; though stun guns are permitted in most states, they’re restricted in eight of them — including New York.
