In Trenton, Jackson announces acting department heads

Trenton Mayor Eric Jackson today announced that the following individuals will serve in his administration in an acting capacity:

David Minchello: Acting Director, Law Department

Mr. Minchello is a partner in the law firm of Antonelli Minchello PC. He has served as a municipal prosecutor in Manville, Linden and North Plainfield and as the Corporation Counsel and City Solicitor for the City of Plainfield.  He is a graduate of Vassar College and the Seton Hall University School of Law. 

 

Terry McEwan: Acting Business Administrator

Mr. McEwen serves as the managing partner in Preservation Capital Services LLC. He previously served as the Director of Banking in the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance and as Senior Vice President at First Washington State Bank.  He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and his MBA from Rider University, where he currently serves as an adjunct professor.  

 

Monique King-Viehland: Acting Director of Housing and Economic Development

Ms. Viehland-King is the Founder and Principal of Obsidian Development LLC, a real estate development firm. Previously, she was Director of Area Development and President of Campus Gateway Development Inc., a subsidiary of NJIT. She served as Senior Director of Small and Medium Size Business Development in the Governor’s Office of Economic Growth and as the Executive Director of the Capital City Redevelopment Corporation.  She is a graduate of Smith College and received an advanced degree from Carnegie Mellon.

 

Ernest Parrey, Jr.: Acting Police Director

Mr. Parrey, a Trenton native, began his career as a corrections officer at Trenton State Prison before joining the Trenton Police Department in 1986. In that capacity, he served as an early member of the Community Policing Initiative, within the Proactive Anti-Crime Unit and on the SWAT Team.  He subsequently commanded both the Violent Crimes Bureau and the Patrol Bureau. Prior to his retirement in 2011, he served on the executive boards of both the PBA and the SOA. In Trenton, Jackson announces acting department heads
