Incoming Chief of Staff to testify on Port Authority Thursday

The New Jersey Legislative Select Committee on Investigations will hear testimony from the front office’s incoming Chief of Staff Regina Egea on Thursday, July 17 at 10:00 AM.

Egea, currently director of the governor’s Authorities Unit, will be questioned on matters concerning the committee’s investigation into all aspects of the finances, operations, and management of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, as well any other matter raising concerns about abuse of government power or an attempt to conceal an abuse of government power. That includes the reassignment of access lanes in Fort Lee, New Jersey to the George Washington Bridge.

The committee issued Egea a subpoena on June 30 and had originally scheduled her to testify on July 8, but that date was changed due to scheduling conflicts.

The hearing will take place in Committee Room 11, 4th Floor, State House Annex, Trenton, New Jersey.
