“I really shouldn’t have another one,” said one partygoer as she stood in line at the bar. Then a smile spread across her lips. “Actually, this is all for charity. We’re here for fashion and charity! How marvelous, to fashion!”
And so it went Tuesday night as fashion influencers gathered on the rooftop of the Nomad hotel to celebrate Give With Style, the charitable shopping initiative launched by the CFDA. Give With Style, which went live today on MyHabit.com, is a online shop comprised of items from over 50 CFDA designers. All profits from the sales support the CFDA’s charitable initiatives.
“We are thrilled to partner with MyHabit on the Give With Style initiative,” Steven Kold, CEO of the CFDA, told the Observer. “It allows the CFDA Foundation to react to future disasters and causes that rely on the immediate support of the American fashion industry.”
Perhaps enlivened by the thought of combining many people’s favorite pastime– shopping– with charity, the party lasted long after the sun set.
