Former Lautenberg staffer tapped to join top gov’t. relations firm

Michael Pock, a former staffer for late United States Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ), has been tapped to join the New York office of a prominent government relations firm.

Pock joins S4 Group, a full-service government relations firm that was established in 2013 with offices in Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C.. S4 Group works for clients at the federal, state, and local levels, particularly in the areas of armed services, education, health care, pharmaceuticals, financial services, small business, and government contracts.

Pock has over 13 years of experience in government as a senior policy and political advisor to Lautenberg. He also served as an adviser to the transition team for U.S. Senator Jeff Chiesa (R-NJ). In those roles, Pock has worked closely with the automotive industry on manufacturing, finance, and third-party vendor issues. His portfolio included financial services issues, business development programs, tourism and trade, Middle East policy, health care, and animal welfare. 

Pock was the key staff liaison for all service academy nominations and currently serves as a member of the Nomination Interview Board for U.S. Senators Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and Cory Booker (D-NJ).
