Last week, The Workers, winners of the Tate’s IK Prize 2014, deployed a crew of telepresence robots remotely controlled by the public in Tate Britain’s galleries at night. These robots undoubtedly increase accessibility to masterworks of art, but does the experience deepen the chasm between the digital and IRL?
