Anthony Pranzatelli and Joan Pritchard, Democratic Party nominees for Somerset County Freeholder, today announced their campaign team for the November 2014 election for two seats on the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

Derel Stroud, Campaign Manager: With over a decade’s worth of experience in New Jersey political campaigns, Derel is a rising star in New Jersey Democratic campaigns. Most recently he served as Field Director for Bonnie Watson Coleman’s successful primary campaign for a U.S. House seat in CD12. Among his other high-profile positions include Regional Field Director for Buono for Governor, County Organizer for Victory 2012 and Field Organizer for Congressman Rush Holt’s reelection campaign.
Paul Penna, LSG Blue Lab, Mail and Message Consultant: Penna has over 15 years of political, campaign and executive branch government experience in New Jersey. He has served as Executive Director of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee and was the Campaign Director for New Jersey’s 2012 coordinated campaign; worked for Congressman Rush Holt in a variety of political and governmental capacities, including managing two successful re-election campaigns; and has worked on numerous legislative campaigns in the state.
Stephen Yellin, Communications Director: Yellin has been active in New Jersey politics since the age of 13, and brings nearly a decade’s worth of campaign communications experience to the table. He first gained notice in his teens as a front-page columnist on the prominent Democratic/progressive website, DailyKos, where his political analysis led to media coverage in the New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Boston Globe, Wired Magazine, Salon.com and later the British paper The Guardian, to name a few. Mr. Yellin has worked as a communications consultant for a wide variety of national, state and local candidates since 2004, including U.S. Senate candidates in Texas and Alabama. In New Jersey his experiences include working for State Senator and former Governor, Richard Codey at the State Senate Majority PAC, several nominees for Congress, and the Union County Democratic Committee. Henry de Koninck, General Consultant: de Koninck is a national award winning political consultant and campaign manager. In 2012, he played a pivotal role in two decisive congressional victories including in his role as campaign manager for Congresswoman Nita Lowey of New York (D). He managed Upendra Chivukula’s 2014 bid for U.S. Congress. He has worked with candidates and committees in New York, Vermont, Pennsylvania, and across New Jersey, and on local, state, and federal races.
