AAN goes after Belgard with broadcast TV ad

The American Action Network today released the ad “Judgment” in the New Jersey 3rd congressional district race, targeting Democratic candidate Aimee Belgard.

The ad contends that as a member of the Edgewater Park Township Committee, Belgard voted to lay off police officers. In the same position, Belgard voted to raise or create 111 municipal fees and repeatedly supported increasing property taxes. As a Burlington County Freeholder, Belgard also voted to raise taxes, and now she wants to bring her tax-raising record to Congress.

The ad will air on Philadelphia broadcast TV as part of AAN’s $670,000 in independent expenditures in the NJ-03 race. The “Judgment” ad campaign will also include a 15-second version for online advertising.
