‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ Opening Credits: What Do? (Video)

Look: I am as excited about next week’s premiere of American Horror Story: Freak Show as much as the next girl who spent last weekend at the Maryland Renaissance Festival, in full costume. And not for work or anything, just because she could and now that she is an adult no one can stop her from buying a $300 corset if she wants to.

So yeah, you could say that I’m a “fan.” That the show “speaks to me.” It “gets in my head.” That I “have a picture of Tate from Season 1 crying above my bed.” These are all true things.

But is it possible that the intro for the new season of the miniseries is too scary? What with the clowns and dolls and balloon animals and very obvious references to Nightmare Before Christmas? Find out for yourself!

Ahhhhhh…? Well, that wasn’t so bad, was it? Its not the kind of thing that will wake you up, screaming in the middle of the night while your best friend from high school tells you to shut up because you have Renn Faire in the morning. And when you ask what you were screaming, she says you were crying “Don’t. You’re scaring me! Please stop! Don’t!”

It’s certainly not the type of thing where, on learning that information, you go, “Oh yeah, it’s my night terrors. Don’t worry about it.” And then you laugh it off like you weren’t just dreaming about the robot alien spider the Nazi cut out of Kit’s neck in season 2.

Because American Horror Story isn’t that scary. Right? I mean, it’s just a show. Just a show where Jessica Lange sings Lana Del Ray and then goes home with all the awards. Nothing to be scared of.

Maybe I’ll just check under the bed one last time. That’s what do. ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ Opening Credits: What Do? (Video)
