The Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters backs Jim Tedesco, the Democratic candidate for Bergen County Executive.
Tedesco is running against incumbent Republican Bergen County Executive Kathe Donovan.
“Jim Tedesco has a long and accomplished record of creating jobs for working-class families. A card-carrying union member for 20 years, he has consistently stood up for the values and ideals of the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters,” said Michael Capelli, Executive Secretary-Treasurer. “Jim has served his community as a Freeholder, Mayor and for the last 38 years as a volunteer firefighter. He will be a strong leader for Bergen County and we are looking forward to helping him win on November 4.”
“It is an honor and a privilege to be endorsed by The Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters,” said Tedesco. “The Carpenter’s mission falls right in line with my mission, which is to improve the quality of life for working families through economic development and job creation. I look forward to working with the Carpenters over the next 7 weeks on my campaign and the next four years as County Executive.”
The state’s other big trade union, the Laborers, backs Donovan.
