Meet the 27 Models of This Year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio lead this international posse of lingerie models.

Alessandra Ambrosio, 33, Angel and Fantasy Bra wearer, @alessandraambrosio
Ms. Ambrosio, seen above at last year's show, shares the coveted top positions of Angel and Fantasy Bra wearer with her fellow Brazilian, Adriana Lima. She has been a Victoria's Secret model since 2001. She has two children and has been featured in Russian, Brazilian, Japanese, Mexican and American Vogue. She has walked for Christian Dior and was the face of Oscar de la Renta and Moschino, but she is best known for her steamier work with Armani Exchange, Dolce & Gabbana, Guess? and CK Jeans. In 2004, she was named the face of Victoria's Secret PINK — the first model to hold that honor. Rumor has it that this will be her last year in the VS show, but we refuse to accept this as truth until she announces it herself. (Photo by Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for Victoria's Secret)
Adriana Lima, 33, Angel and wearer of Fantasy Bra, @adrianalima
Ms. Lima, seen above channelling her inner Mockingjay at last year's show, is also a VS veteran. Having achieved the coveted Angel title, she is now the squad's impossibly hot mother bear, along with Ms. Ambrosio. She, too, has two children. Her career with Victoria's Secret began with some print modeling in 1999. More of a runway mainstay than Ms. Ambrosio, she made her debut in an Anna Sui show in 1997. Ms. Lima first walked in the VS Fashion Show in 2001, the same year as Ms. Ambrosio. Rumors are flying that she, too, will molt her Angel wings after this year's show, but again, we'll believe it when we see it. Forbes named her the fourth-highest-paid supermodel in 2007, estimating her income that year at $7 million. She dabbles in both print and runway work, having been the face of Anna Molinari, Guess? and Donna Karan. She has walked for Ralph Lauren, Vera Wang, Emporio Armani, Fendi, Valentino, Alexander McQueen and more. (Photo by Bryan Bedder/Getty Images for Swarovski)
Doutzen Kroes, 29, Angel, @doutzen
One of many Dutch Victoria's Secret models, Ms. Kroes has walked for Victoria's Secret since 2005. She has been an Angel since 2008. Ms. Kroes has graced the covers of Time, Vogue, W and many more. She has two children with the Dutch DJ Sunnery James. Her youngest daughter was born this past July. Ms. Kroes has shot campaigns for L'Oreal and Tiffany's and has walked the runway Isaac Mizrahi and Prada. She also receives a shoutout in the Kanye West song "Christian Dior Denim Flow." Candice Swanepoel, 26, Angel, @angelcandices
Ms. Swanepoel wears last year's Fantasy Bra and Belt in the photo above. This icy-cool South African model started walking for Victoria's Secret in 2007. She has done print work for Tom Ford and Versace, and has modeled in international iterations of Vogue and GQ. An accomplished runway model, she has walked for Chanel, Rag & Bone, Fendi, Prabal Gurung, Oscar de la Renta and many more. She has been dating fellow model Hermann Nicoli since 2005. Behati Prinsloo, 25, Angel, @behatiprinsloo
Hailing from Namibia, Ms. Prinsloo signed with Victoria's Secret in 2008 and walked her first VS Show that year. She made headlines this year with her endearingly kooky wedding to Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. She has modeled for H&M, the Gap and DKNY Jeans, and has appeared on the cover of Mexican Vogue.(Photo by Bryan Bedder/Getty Images for Swarovski)
Lindsay Ellingson, 30, Angel, @lindsellingson
Ms. Ellingson, who was discovered only after she'd studied biology at UC San Diego, didn't consider modeling until she was in her early 20s — the age at which many catwalkers retire. She got her start modeling in 2005, walking for Gucci, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen and pretty much every A-list fashion designer's spring and summer presentation. Three years later, in 2008, she made her VS debut. She has served as a spokesmodel for Body by Victoria and is also a face of Clarins cosmetics. She is married to Sean Clayton. Lily Aldridge, 29, Angel, @lilyaldridge
A California girl, Ms. Aldridge is pictured above in what can only be described as Victoria's Secret's Sexy Punk Rocker/Scotsman Halloween costume. She started walking for Victoria's Secret in 2009, after covering Spanish Vogue at age 17. She's actually part of a modeling dynasty: her mother was a Playboy Playmate of the month. Her photographer brother is married to '90s supermodel Kristen McMenamy, her father is the artist behind some Rolling Stones cover art, and her sisters have modeled for Ralph Lauren and Marc by Marc Jacobs. She is married to Caleb Followill from Kings of Leon. Ever the rock chick, she recently wore bangs to channel Jane Birkin on the cover of S Moda. She has a young daughter, and the two showed off their enviable genes in Vogue's August 2013 issue. (Photo by Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images)

Karlie Kloss, 22, Angel, @karliekloss
Known more for her high-fashion work (and her coveted status as Taylor Swift's foremost bestie), Ms. Kloss hails from the Midwest. She first walked the Victoria's Secret runway in 2011 and has also been a face of PINK. Her list of runway and print experience is extensive and she is a favorite of fashion world luminaries such as Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld. She also owns her own line of baked goods, Karlie's Kookies. This is one Angel who won't be flying out of the spotlight any time soon. Eniko Mihalik, 27, @mreniko
This Hungarian model is returning to the Victoria's Secret runway four years after her 2009 debut. She made her runway debut at a 2006 Chanel show. She has also walked for Givenchy, Diane von Furstenberg and Versace. She is famous for her work with Inez and Vinoodh. Her tweets are charming. (Photo by Jason Kempin/Getty Images)
Lais Ribeiro, 24, @laisribeiro16
This Brazilian model has been strutting her stuff for Victoria's Secret since 2010. She has modeled in ad campaigns for Ralph Lauren, the Gap and others, and has walked runways for many of the big European houses: Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace and more. This month, she appeared in British Vogue in an editorial shot by Patrick Demarchelier. (Photo by Bryan Bedder/Getty Images for Swarovski)

Elsa Hosk, 26, @hoskelsa
Ms. Hosk, of Sweden, might take the crown for Coolest Back Story: she played professional basketball in her native country before turning her focus to modeling. She has also modeled in Guess? campaigns, and her cousin once won "Sweden's Next Top Model." This will be her fourth year modeling on the Victoria's Secret runway. She started in 2011. She is also a face of PINK. (Photo by Bryan Bedder/Getty Images for Swarovski)
Bregje Heinen, 21, @bregjeheinenn
Another Dutch model, Ms. Heinen has been walking for Victoria's Secret since 2011. She enjoyed prime placement in the 2014 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. With a yearround tan offsetting her light blue eyes, she has also modeled for Alexander Wang, Acne, Yves Saint Laurent, Prada, Vera Wang, Calvin Klein, Burberry and many more. Jourdan Dunn, 24, @officialjdunn
Ms. Dunn, who's from England, has high-fashion credits that rival those of Ms. Kloss. She has been a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show model since 2012 and she was one of the British models featured in the closing ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympics. She is the only British Victoria's Secret model in this year's show, and she has a five-year-old son. (Photo by Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images)

Jasmine Tookes, 23, @jastookes
This Californian has been a Victoria's Secret model since 2012. She was scouted in the showroom of her mother, a stylist. She has walked for Calvin Klein, Prada and Versace. (Photo by Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images)
Barbara Fialho, 26, @barbarafialho1
Hailing from Brazil, Ms. Fialho got her start modeling for Victoria's Secret in 2012. Seen here shortly after crashing into the Eiffel Tower, she has pounded the runway for Christian Dior, Diane von Furstenberg, Vivienne Westwood, Jeremy Scott and more. She's a favorite of Carine Roitfeld and has been featured in Levi's campaigns. She is "obsessed with pastries." Us, too, Babs. (Photo by Bryan Bedder/Getty Images for Swarovski)
Shanina Shaik, 23, @shaninamshaik
This Australian-born modeling veteran got her start at age eight. She has been modeling for Victoria's Secret since 2012. She is dating fellow model Tyson Beckford and lives in New York City. Following years of catalogue work, she has walked for Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney and Tom Ford. Ironically, as a teen she finished in second-place in the Australian reality show "Make Me a Supermodel." Wonder how the first-place winner is doing now. Maud Welzen, 21, @maudwelzen
Ms. Welzen, who is Dutch, walked the Victoria's Secret runway in 2012 and took a break in 2013. She is coming back this year after walking for Moschino, Chanel, Burberry and Vera Wang. A relative newcomer, she has not done much print work since being discovered in Paris at age 13. (Photo by Bryan Bedder/Getty Images for SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS)
Kelly Gale, 19, @kellybellyboom
Ms. Gale, who is Swedish, wore a Swarovski crystal-encrusted corset at her Victoria's Secret runway debut in 2013. She is of Indian descent and once starred in a mother-daughter bridal photo shoot in Vogue India. She has posed for H&M and walked runways for Chanel, Band of Outsiders, Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford, and Diane von Fürstenberg. (Photo by Bryan Bedder/Getty Images for Swarovski)
Devin Windsor, 20, @devwindsor
Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Ms. Windsor is walking in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for her second time this year, having gotten her start in 2013. She bleached her hair for a Prada show in fall 2013, her first season as a model. It has since become her signature look. She was discovered at a bat mitzvah. Maria Borges, 21, @mariaborges28
Hailing from Angola, Ms. Borges first walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2013. She has also walked for Tom Ford, Dior Haute Couture and Givenchy. (Photo by Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for Victoria's Secret)
Monika "Jac" Jagaciak, 20, @jacmonika
Ms. Jagaciak, who is from Poland, is an accomplished high-fashion model who is returning to the VS runway after having made her debut last year in 2013. One of her first gigs was as the face of Hermès at age 13 — not too shabby. She knocked out stints on the runway with Prada, Jil Sander, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace and Gucci early on. At this point, you'd be hard-pressed to find a big-time designer she hasn't worked with. (Photo by Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images)
Cindy Bruna, 20, @cindybruna
Ms. Bruna is the only VS model this year from France. This is her second year walking in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. And what a year she's had — she was the face of Prada and has walked for pretty much every designer that matters. Calvin Klein, Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Diane von Fürstenberg, Balmain and Alexander McQueen have all featured her on their runways. (Photo by Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for Victoria's Secret)

Josephine Skriver, 21, @josephinskriver
The Danish Ms. Skriver is also celebrating her sophomore year as a Victoria's Secret model. She has walked for Calvin Klein, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent and more, and got her start as a Pampers model when she was just a baby. She is an advocate for LGBT families, having been raised by a lesbian mother and a gay father herself. (Photo by Bryan Bedder/Getty Images for Swarovski)
Blanca Padilla, @blaancapadilla
This newcomer is walking in the Victoria's Secret show for the first time this year. Hailing from Spain, she was seen in several presentations at spring and summer 2015 fashion week, including Hervé Leger and Oscar de la Renta. She was also spotted walking next to Kendall Jenner, leading the pack of models in the memorable finale of the Dolce & Gabbana show this fall. (Photo via Instagram.com/blaancapadilla)
Romee Strijd, 19, @romeestrijd
Ms. Strijd, who is from the Netherlands, is making her Victoria's Secret debut this year. She started her high-fashion career by walking for Christopher Kane and Burberry, and has gone on to walk for Celine, Prada, Alexander McQueen, Yves Saint Laurent and more. Ms. Strijd is on the blonder, sportier, Heidi-Klum-esque end of the VS spectrum and can be seen uploading videos of her ballet-based workouts on Instagram. Daniela Braga, 22, @bragadany
This Brazilian newcomer has been featured in Elle Brazil and is rarely Instagrammed in much more than a bikini (who can blame her?). She has been on the cover of Harper's Bazaar in Brazil and has walked for Givenchy. (Photo via instagram.com/bragadany)
Imaan Hammam, 18, @hammamimaan
This first-year Victoria's Secret model may be a newcomer to the industry, but she has already gotten Anna Wintour's blessing. Ms. Hammam, who is Dutch, has appeared in American Vogue, recieving a special shoutout from Ms. Wintour herself. She has walked for Prada, Dior, Balenciaga and Proenza Schouler. It’s almost time for the Victoria's Secret (VSCO) Fashion Show, planet Earth’s annual, spectacular tribute to complicated and massive lingerie.

Only a select posse of gorgeous models can pull off these parade-float-like bras and panties with aplomb. It takes an athletic physique along with generous curves in order to strut down the runway in a sexy peacock outfit and look as good as Lindsay Ellingson does in the photo at left.

Victoria’s Secret scours the globe for these women annually. This year, the company has chosen 27 models from all over the world to model their looks.

The flashy spectacle is totally irresistible, from the who’s-who of new and veteran models to the girl-power performances from the likes of Rihanna and Taylor Swift. Here, we have assembled photos and facts about all 27 models who are walking in the show this year. Study up! Dec. 9 will come around sooner than you think.

Some fun facts before you start perusing:

• Not all Victoria’s Secret models are equal; there is a hierarchy to uphold. Angels have long-term contracts and print ads to show for their status. Above them, two of the Angels this year get to wear “Fantasy Bras.” All of the other bras in the show, of course, are practical and realistic by comparison.

• Five models this year are mothers. Just don’t expect to see any cotton nursing bras.

• Although none of the models look a day over “flawlessly age-less,” they range from 18 to 33 years old.

• Fourteen nationalities are represented across this coterie of models.

• Brazil, the United States and the Netherlands are tied for Hottest Country Around, with five models coming from each of those countries.

• Two models are Swedes, while Namibia, South Africa, Spain, Poland, Australia, Hungary, England, Angola, France and Denmark are all sending one delegate each.

• Despite the relative lack of British models in the show (Lily Aldridge has a British father, so the most generous total is 1.5), the show is being held in London instead of New York this year.

• The musical performers this year will be Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, and Hozier.

• The first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was held in 1995. It was slightly more subdued than this year’s affair will likely be.

• The show airs on Dec. 9 from 10 to 11 p.m.
