Tragically, yet another selfie has turned fatal.
A 23-year-old nursing student from Poland died while attempting a selfie on the iconic Puente de Triana bridge in southern Spain.
While balancing on the ledge of the famous bridge, Sylwia Rajchel slipped and fell 15 feet into the structure’s concrete footings. She was revived after going into cardiac arrest at the scene, but died later in the Hospital of Traumatology.
This harrowing accident happened on the young woman’s dream vacation, according to The Daily Mail
“Going to Spain was a dream come true for my daughter,” Bernedeta Rajchel, the victim’s mother, reportedly said. “She had taught herself the language and was hoping to work there in the future after finishing her studies.”
This horrific news follows several other recent deaths caused by selfies. In only the past few months, one couple fell to their deaths taking a selfie on a cliff, a young man was shot to death while posing for a gun selfie and an 18-year-old died attempting a beach birthday selfie.
