Well, for starters, Birdman, lots and lots of Birdman. The film came away with seven Golden Globe nominations, including Best Picture in its category, and acting nods for Michael Keaton, Emma Stone and Edward Norton. Birdman competes in the Best Picture, Musical or Comedy, with The Grand Budapest Hotel, Into the Woods, Pride and St. Vincent.

Over on the TV end, acclaimed FX mini-series Fargo leads the way with five nominations, closely followed by True Detective with four (True Detective is, rightfully, in the mini-series category *cough* Emmys *cough*). Interestingly enough, Game of Thrones only earned one nomination, and newcomer Jane the Virgin received two.
