It is with great sadness that I relay the following devastating piece of information: Bachelor in Paradise‘s Michelle Money and Cody “Code Code” Sattler—whose unlikely yet strangely perfect love blossomed on the beaches of Tulum this year—have broken up.
The pair, who perhaps bonded over their mutual romantic desperation, announced their break-up over apparently coordinated Instagram posts yesterday. Here’s Cody’s—be sure not to miss the moving photo caption (no really, our hearts broke a little):
And here’s an excerpt from Michelle Money’s post, which featured the same image as Cody’s:
I am so grateful I followed my heart and that it lead me to Cody. He has made me feel so loved and so appreciated. I only wish that it could have ended up the way we had hoped. I wish nothing but happiness and love for Cody! Brielle and I look forward to a life long friendship with him and will always love and support him in all he does. Thanks to everyone, again, for all the love and support!
I have so many follow-up questions. Will Cody stay in Utah now, after moving to be there with Michelle? Will the newly-single Michelle make a surprise appearance on the upcoming season the The Bachelor, perhaps pulling a Chris Bukowski and crashing the first night’s cocktail party?
