New Jersey’s newest Republican congressional representative is teaming with one of its most public Democratic senators to try to bring relief to a local emergency squad in the former’s home district.
Newly-minted U.S. Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-3) and U.S. Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) penned a letter to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on behalf of the Hampton Lakes EMS squad, which has been unable to bill Medicare for patient transportation because of an ongoing federal crackdown on fraud and abuse.
It’s at least the second time the two have teamed up publicly to tackle issues local to MacArthur’s district.
