NJ Policy Perspective elects Crotty as new chair

After 15 years as a trustee and three years as Board Chair, former Senator Jerry Stockman presided at his last New Jersey Policy Perspective board meeting on December 11, 2014. He was applauded by his colleagues for providing strong leadership during a crucial transition in the life of the organization.
The Trustees elected Kathy Crotty as the new chair.
Crotty served as the executive director of the Senate Democrats for 23 years before retiring in 2009. During that time she served as chair of the State House Joint Management Commission and played a leadership role in the restoration and modernization of the State House. A founding member of PAM’s List, she serves on the advisory committee for the Wynona Lipman Chair on Women’s Political Leadership at the Center on American Women and Politics at the Eagleton Institute.
The Board also elected and welcomed Leigh Gibson of Princeton as a new Trustee. Leigh works at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities in Washington, having previously worked at the Fund for New Jersey, Isles and NJPP.
