The legislative services commission unanimously elected David Rosen, the budget officer for the Office of Legislative Services, to interim executive director of the non-partisan office during their meeting this afternoon.
Rosen — once named the “Dr. Kevorkian” of numbers by Gov. Chris Christie for his less-than-optimistic revenue projections — replaces retiring head Al Porroni at the office.
Commission members present at the meeting, which include leaders in both the state assembly and senate, stressed that the permanent successor to Porroni should be qualified, and that they would undertake a campaign to find his replacement in the coming weeks.
