Long known in Trenton as the lawmaker with a penchant for funny business, Assembly Minority Leader-slash-Funniest Lawyer in New Jersey Jon Bramnick (R-21) will bring his statehouse-renowned comedic talent to New Brunswick later this year for a comedy show at the Stress Factory, according to an announcement today from the Republican’s office.
The GOP leader — who his office says has “held the title of the Funniest Lawyer in New Jersey for twenty years after going undefeated at Rascals Comedy Club” in Montclair — is booked for a show on March 26 at the popular comedy venue. He’ll open for Rich Vos, a regular on the radio talk show Opie and Anthony — and, like Bramnick, a “seasoned comedian with decades of stand-up experience,” according to his website.
Vos’ also been a producer and star of Women Aren’t Funny on Netflix, Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central, and his written for the Oscars.
“It is an election year and I will take the night off for a few laughs, I hope,” Bramnick speculated in today’s release.
Bramnick has graced The Hub’s Stess Factory before — like last year, when he joked, among other thing, about statehouse ethics, Jim McGreevey, and Bridgegate.
