SATURDAY February 21
We’ll be honest, it was hard to sit through Fifty Shades of Grey with a serious face on. Is this Christian Grey character serious?! But with much effort, we stifled our giggles – LOLing at masochistic scenes seem less than appropriate. That is, unless you’re sitting in the audience of 50 Shades! The Musical Parody. Directed by Al Samuels and Rob Lindley, the duo behind an improv musical group called Baby Wants Candy, this laugh-along musical shamelessly materializes all the jokes we embarrassingly kept to ourselves. But don’t worry, not a single shade of grey is missing in this parody – there’s an abundance of hunks, bondage and foreplay. The Elektra Theatre, 669 Eighth Ave., various showtimes,50shadesthemusical.com, $49-$125
