Christie ranks low in latest CNN poll

It’s not the worst — or best — he’s performed, but Gov. Chris Christie landed fifth among the pack of 2016 Republican presidential hopefuls in a CNN/ORC poll released today.

Alongside Florida Senator Mark Rubio, Christie nabbed just 7% of support in the poll, taken as GOP and Democratic candidates prepare to step up to the starting line of next year’s presidential race. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush led the group with 40%, with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former neurosurgeon Ben Carson all trailing behind.

None of the Republicans, however, got within 10 points of the default Democratic frontrunner, Hillary Clinton, who amased 54% support. Christie ranks low in latest CNN poll
