Last night, big names from the creative arts gathered at Chelsea Piers for the ICP’s 31st Annual Infinity Awards. The organization recognizes greatness in all spectrums of the photographic arts and event co-chairs Michael Clinton of Hearst Magazines, Marjorie Rosen and Pat Schoenfeld gathered a celebratory crowd of luminaries from art, fashion, news and business.
Naomi Campbell was on hand to present a special award to the creator of so many visual steps in fashion history, Mario Testino. Mexican photographer Graciela Iturbide received the Cornell Capa Lifetime Achievement Award. Ms. Iturbide’s recent photography of blood-stained artifacts belonging to artist Frida Kahlo explored a side to the artist much reported in folk lore but rarely, if ever committed to visual mediums.
