ATLANTIC CITY – State legislative aide Marshall Spevak was reelected as president of the New Jersey Young Democrats (NJYD) at the annual New Jersey Democratic State Committee (NJDSC) conference in Atlantic City on Friday.
Spevak was appointed president of the NJYD last year after former president Chris James was named the executive director of the NJDSC. Spevak has been elected to a two-year term.
Spevak has served on the NJYD board since 2007 and is the former national campaign director for the Young Democrats of America. He currently serves as the deputy chief of staff to state Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo (D-2).
“I’m looking forward to getting more young voters into the fold,” said Spevak, 26, of Cherry Hill. “It’s very important to get people involved in the democratic process.”
