Henri Bendel celebrates a centenary this year. The store first opened by it’s founder in 1895 introduced the signature brown and white striped hatbox and carrier bag in 1907. Now the pattern is synonymous with a kind of UES, fun, feminine style that is totally New York. Suite 712 is a new eau de parfum perfectly ensnaring the elan of the brand. Henri Bendel was among the first specialty stores to ever launch a perfume back in 1915 — ‘Un Peu d’Elle’ perfectly summed up the Bendel client. Now, Suite 712 is a modern version for uptown girls.
