AFL-CIO snubs brother Pauls in LD2

The AFL-CIO has endorsed only Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo (D-2) in District 2.

First reported by Harry Hurley of Hurley in the Morning, the organization outright snubbed Freeholder Will Pauls, a Republican labor leader who is running with Assemblyman Chris Brown (R-2) in one of the three most competitive general election districts in the state.

Pauls, who, according to sources irritated Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3) by getting in the district race in opposition to South Jersey Democratic Organization darling Mazzeo, did not receive the AFL-CIO endorsement.

Pauls has served as President of South Jersey Building Trades for ten years and as a member of the Executive Board of the AFL-CIO Central Labor Council of Atlantic City
