From the western rim of New Jersey, Assemblywoman Alison Litell McHose (R-24) and Assemblyman John DiMaio (R-23) considered the imminent presidential candidacy of Gov. Chris Christie.
“I’m really proud for New Jersey and excited for the positive exposure,” McHose told PolitickerNJ. “Obviously, I’m supporting him and I think he will be a great president. His appeal is broader than some people think. We will know a lot more after New Hampshire.”
McHose and DiMaio both plan to attend tomorrow’s kickoff at Livingston High School.
“I’m going and, yes, I am endorsing the governor,” said DiMaio. “The governors a pretty brilliant guy. Do I agree with everything he does? No. But had he not been at the helm in New Jersey I don’t know where we’d be. There’s been a lot of good things. Spending levels are down. If you look at the current occupant of the White House we don’t have the standing in the world we should. Imagine Christie sitting across the table from Putin.”
