New Jerseyans for a Better Tomorrow – a 527 Super Pac started by President and Founder Sean Kennedy and Treasurer Eric Frank, has Sweeney 2017 written all over it from the outset.

Kennedy most recently served as senior adviser to Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3), and his departure late last year created Statehouse buzz about his next step, with insiders concluding that it had something to do with the inevitable creation of a Super Pac.

It did.

Having filed papers with the IRS and the state Election Law Enforcement Commission on May 15, Kennedy and Frank are in charge of the independent fundraising entity geared toward assisting Sweeney’s 2017 run for governor, sources say.

Kennedy is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation (ARVF), serves as a Commissioner on the Burlington County Tax Board, coaches area kickers and punters and has served as an Adjunct Professor at Rowan University, Rowan College at Gloucester County and Burlington County College.

Practicing law since 2008, Frank served as campaign adviser to the late John Adler in 2008 when Mr. Adler won a 3rd District Congressional seat.
