There is no better time than summer to step out with a whimsical new hair color.
While a handful of stars have popularized the bright blue ‘do—Kylie Jenner, most notably—another daring hue seems to be stealing the spotlight as of late. Lavender locks are back, from subtle dyed tips to all-over purple color. The look, arguably originating with Kelly Osborne, has been recently spotted on Katy Perry, Britney Spears, and Victoria’s Secret Angel Jourdan Dunn.
Ms. Perry, the soon-to-be-star of H&M’s holiday campaign, showed off shoulder-length purple waves at the launch of her new fragrance, Mad Potion:
Pop star Ms. Spears recently stepped out with lavender tips. Though they are somewhat difficult to see in the below photo, she sported the purple hair (and matching bikini) on her vacation in Hawaii:
The model Jourdan Dunn rocked a bold purple look this week, too, sharing the following photo with her Instagram followers:
And Ms. Osborne, of course, still sports her signature lavender look:
