Amazon Sets ‘Transparent’ Season 2 Premiere Date

Transparent, 'The Letting Go'

Sad, hilarious, beautiful, uplifting show Transparent will officially return to Amazon on December 4, the streaming network announced at the 2015 Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills.

Created by Jill Solloway, Transparent stars Jeffrey Tambor as Maura Pfefferman, formerly Morton, as she deals with both her gender transition and the constant familiar drama stirred by her two daughters (Gaby Hoffman, Amy Landecker), one son (Jay Duplass), and estranged wife (Judith Light). It’s simple. But it isn’t, not even a little. It somehow covers every ache and pain of every day life imaginable combined with the voices of a group of people who for the most part go unheard and unrepresented in Hollywood, all pounded into half-hour episodes on a streaming service that hadn’t even sniffed an Emmy nod until Transparent.

I think what I’m trying to say here is the show is good. Real good. The best show of 2014 according to us, but also according to many other people. You have almost exactly four months if you haven’t seen season one yet. What are you still doing here?
