Ball pits go hand-in-hand with screaming children, but one especially for adults has a bit of a different feel and major photo opportunities.
JumpIn!, the installation comprised of 81,000 plastic balls, is making its way to NYC. Unlike other ball-filled playgrounds, this one is a sea of white that’s both playful and relaxing and specifically made for adults.
The creative agency Pearlfisher developed the installation “to share the transformative power of play with a wider audience.” It’s been very popular in the UK and is just now making its U.S. debut. JumpIn! will be at 455 Broadway in NYC from August 21 to September 21. Reservations are required.
This installation is nearly identical to another adult-friendly white ball pit currently running at The National Building Museum in Washington D.C. It’s known as “The Beach,” and attendees are certainly feeling the serenity of the sand and ocean. Both “Beach” and JumpIn! goers have been jumping into and relaxing amongst the balls, Instagramming their adventures along the way.
